Registration and Accreditation Status
Damelin is registered with the Department of Education as a private education institution under the Higher Education Act 1997. Our registration number is 01HB09. All Damelin Higher Education programmes have been conditionally accredited by the Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC)
We have been given provisional accreditation by Umalusi, Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training. Please see http://www.umalusi.org.za. Each campus received a separate Umalusi provisional accreditation number. Please contact your Damelin campus to request the provisional accreditation number provided by UMALUSI.
Agent Programmes:
These programmes are offered by institutions such as Damelin who recruit, provide tuition and facilities for assessments towards a learning programme of another institution. The agent body is responsible for quality assurance, curriculum, subject matter, assessments, programme accreditation and certification of students. Examples of agent bodies are IMM, UNISA and ICB. Agent programmes can be national qualifications or short learning programmes.
